January📚GoodReads PC Exchange

Loving how the postcard community is growing on Good Reads. Combining the Postcards with a reading topic is such a wonderful blend of pastimes.  I keep getting the same person from the other side of the world 🗺. His postcards have not arrived yet, for 2 months in a row.  Will have to wait & see if the Global Post is going to follow through with delivery of his cards.  In the meantime, this month’s topic was the Public Domain titles that were recently released.
What new old books are you finding to pick up again?

January PostFun App Swaps 2023 👈(゚ヮ゚👈)

Seems like all my postcards are from PostFun for January. I will admit, Many of the same cards go out for my PostFun exchanges. I have such a surplus of the Empress Lily still. I do not make a habit of sending the same card to the same people.     I do vary my Pen Pal Cards. But for one time exchanges, the WDW classic is my go-to card. That one & my personal print on demand designs. I like them, they are uplifting to me, so I hope they spread a little sunshine along the way.  My DHubby mails them for me, so I think they all ship out from the same 📮 mailbox, but one can never tell with a grown man.  😂

This month I went back to my PostFun app to check any unregistered cards here in the US. Then I resent seeing if the recipient might respond by registering the card. I’ve done this before with great success. Maybe the first card was lost in the post, or life challenges just did not allow them the opportunity to get to it. Either way, it’s been a great surprise to find that someone did respond to a 2nd card by registering it & also a quick card back in the post.  PostFun people are genuinely lovely correspondence partners.
This week though the 2nd card experiment had another result. As you see below, my card returned to me with the bright yellow returned to sender, No recipient found at that address.  It was a little sad for a moment. Of course, hoping that all is well with them.  It also leaves my mind at rest tho regarding the previous card being registered.  Not a big deal, just a resolution. The postal service machinery does not treat our correspondence kindly.  Hoping someday a Postmaster will own up to this negative default to make a change.
Anywho, Lets look at some postcards.  I do have a couple nice ones this month.
Many PostFun exchanges lead to Pen Pals if you wish. Many include an address to write back. Some are just a simple note of Thanks or well wishes.  These always bring a smile.  I get a kick out of the cards that ask questions with no way to write back with a response.  Truly a comical moment that brings a good laugh.  Every Postcard is precious to me. Every connection, if for a moment or a lifetime. To all the wonderful people out there who give tirelessly, I appreciate your kindness & effort.

Thank you so much for sharing yourself.

Fall Club Meeting Update 🌞

Sunshine 🌞 Post Card Club
Got some lovely Busy persons Correspondence cards

I was waiting for my new duplex postcard scanner to share all the cards I purchased, But I couldn’t contain myself and did that post first…. 😂
All of these Cards will take their place in my personal collection. There are plenty more finds that will be coming to the postcard shop before you know it.

I found DHubby another beautiful PC from El Salvador, and that just thrilled him.  Hope to get back with the club in January at the new location and spend the weekend shuffling through more tables and tables of postcards.

There are a few more of the Busy Person’s Correspondence cards. May have even a couple more posts of just BP cards like those.  I simply love them.  I’m going to try to make some that are more modern and fun.  We’ll see how it goes.

Till next week

Bunnlevel Postoffice

This is a story for another day with maybe a few episodes.  But the postcard means so much to me.
Life is just running away with my days.  This adventure allowed the whole family to slow down for a moment or two. Many of the postcards coming up are from this journey.  But today is not the day the details are going to leak out.

Stand by for more Bunnlevel Post Office story!

Postcarding time Tio Shout out

Post Office, please take it easier on the beautiful pieces of Art 🎨 Love ❣

This blog has been a gift from above. I cannot tell you how many times it’s pages have snatched me from darker places. I’m not sure exactly how we got here, or who, what, where, when, why, to thank. Ever so be it, Thankful is what comes to mind when a postcard arrives.  They ALWAYS bring a smile to my face and pure joy while reading them. It’s an incredible feeling.

The last few weeks have been very trialsome personally. No need to go back and analyse or recall.  Now, we are on the brighter side of it.  I’ve received several cards in my PO box throughout the last 2 months.  There are so many people to shout out, and thanks for sharing postcards with me.  I love all of you. Please be assured, I will scan and post every single one of them until my last breath.

The commitment I have to the postcard, postcrossing, postfun, postcard pen pal community is undeniable. Even my family has been so supportive and encouraging in regard to the progress of the collection. The blog is so inspiring. This week, we passed 20,000 visitors to Mypicturepostcards.com.  It’s such an amazing experience.

With that milestone, We just want to tell you how much we appreciate your contribution to the collection and the experiences of exchanging/swapping/mailing/posting postcards. Thank you for sharing this grand hobby. Thank you for taking the time to send a postcard to someone and say hello. Thank you for waiting timelessly for a response. It is a great honour to know you and to share this great journey with you.  Bless you for your postcards, and again I thank you!
